What are you going to do at Perfect Plants?

You will conduct research to develop and optimize new and existing tissue culture protocols for a wide range of horticultural crops, especially in Food & Pharma. You also conduct research into supporting breeding techniques and research new multiplication technologies.

Focus will be on the development of innovative technologies to significantly improve the speed of multiplication and the quality of the produced tissue plants. You are keen to implement new scientific developments within the Perfect Plants projects. You manage your projects efficiently, including project planning, monitoring and report.

You discuss the scientific progress of your project with your contact persons in the production laboratories.

• A minimum high degree in biotechnology with at least 3 years full-time work experience in a (tissue culture) laboratory environment, either in academia or industry;
• Excellent organizational, technical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;
• Administration and registration of activities is a required skill;
• Good skills in dealing with people with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a concise, uncomplicated manner;
• Someone who can organize his work efficiently and who knows how to structure the work. The candidate will have the ability to separate main and side issues in the work;
• Ability to identify bottlenecks and problems at an early stage;
• Hard worker who enjoys what he / she does;
• Someone who appreciates the team's "us feeling", but who can and wants to perform tasks independently;
• Experience a certain workload as a challenge;
• Technical proficiency in operation and user training of standard cell biology laboratory equipment;
• Ability to work independently and together as part of the project team.
