Technical Assistent

Quality Produce International (QPI) is a leading importer and exporter of fresh produce. We are part of an international group of companies and in addition to our sites in The Netherlands, we have also branches in Spain and Germany.

Thanks to longstanding relationships with growers at home and abroad, as well as our own global farming operations, we supply customers in Europe all year round. QPI’s customers range across a number of sectors including retail, wholesale, food processing and food service. In addition, some of the products are sold under its own brand, Sensation (aubergines, cucumbers, bell peppers and tomatoes on the vine) and Magic (premium tomatoes).

Due to QPI’s on-going success and growth candidates are sought for the following position:

Technical Assistant, M/V
You are part of the Quality Assurance Team and together with your colleagues you take care of ensuring working conditions, the environment, food safety and quality, internally and with suppliers.

Your job responsibilities include:

• Provide administrative and organizational support to the Technical Department.
• Assist in executing quality assurance tasks, including supplier evaluations and internal audits
• Support the planning and execution of chemical and microbial sampling and data collection.
• Help maintain our quality management system by updating procedures, documentation, and records.
• Contribute to preparing reports and analyses that drive continuous process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food quality, and regulatory standards.
• Act as a liaison with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners as required.

Job requirements
You are very efficient, careful and independent and are not averse to administration, documentation and puzzling. Our ideal candidate is someone who communicates and organizes fluently: in order to do your job well, you are in contact with colleagues from different departments, customers and suppliers. In the daily hustle and bustle, you hold your own and you never lose sight of care.

You complement these qualities with:

• A relevant (bachelor) degree in food technology, horticulture, or a related field.
• Good command of English and Dutch, or good command of English with a commitment to further developing Dutch language skills.
• Basic knowledge of quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a positive attitude.
• Possession of a driving license B is an advantage, though not mandatory
